Job Overview

Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a part-time / day shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Hours: This part-time day shift position works 2/12s and every 3rd weekend.

Responsibilities

The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coodination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts. Must have excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching.

Qualifications

Required:

• BSN degree or in process

• Missouri RN License

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred:

• 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)

• Pediatric and ICU experience

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
