Opportunity available for a Pediatric Radiologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked the Best Hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth, and Children's Health, ranked in all 10 pediatric subspecialties by U.S. News & World Report.

We are seeking a hard-working, team-centered individual with a desire to innovate and participate in the growth of the Division. Duties include interpreting the full range of pediatric examinations (exclusive on neuroimaging and interventional procedures) and providing consultation to referring physicians.

Teaching responsibilities will include medical students, Radiology residents and fellows in didactic lectures and group settings as well as participation in various multidisciplinary conferences. Faculty members have dedicated academic time with many opportunities to develop research interests in collaboration with our strong basic science group, as well as other clinical and basic science departments at Children's and throughout the campus. The Pediatric Radiology Division currently includes 22 faculty members, and sponsors an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Radiology, and Texas Medical Board-approved fellowship programs in Pediatric Interventional Radiology and in Pediatric Neuroradiology.

Clinical service is provided to Children's Medical Center Dallas, a 490-bed tertiary pediatric hospital and Level 1 trauma center, Children's Medical Center Plano, a 72-bed community hospital, and multiple outpatient imaging centers throughout the region. Children's Medical Center Dallas has two Siemens Skyra 3T MR scanners and three 1.5T scanners which are a mix of Philips and Siemens, Siemens FLASH CT, PET-CT, and two dedicated pediatric IR suites.

Two of the magnets at the Dallas campus are being replaced with Siemens 3T scanners, including a planned Prisma. Additionally, there are two offsite MR scanners, 1.5T and a 3T. Ultrasound equipment updated with contrast-enhanced urosonography, as well as the use of intravenous contrast.

Elastography using both MR imaging and ultrasound is currently offered. Children's Health has strong pediatric surgery, oncology, and orthopedic services, as well as all pediatric surgical and medical subspecialty groups.

Candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreigh equivalent, have completed a minimum of 1 year fellowship training. Eligibility for Texas Medical Licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employement is required.
