Job Description Job Description Salary: $20.19 - $21.16 Position: The Pediatric Outreach Specialist, acts as liaison between the Treasure Coast pediatric community and Help Me Grow.

Using HMG approved screening tools, such as the ASQ and other HMG screening tools conducts screenings when appropriate and necessary. Promotes public awareness of 211 services and the Help Me Grow program. The Agency:

Located in Lantana, Florida. 211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast is a private nonprofit 501(c)3 agency that was started in 1971 and quickly expanded into crisis counseling and suicide prevention. The agency cultivates a caring and dynamic team to service Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast (five counties). Additional partners provided funding to support a quality, centralized access point for health, and human services information and crisis services. 2-1-1 was designated nationally by the FCC for information and referral purposes, and it became the telephone number for the agency's helpline. 211 has long been the designated agency to answer all local calls dialed into the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Today, 211 also responds to several projects including Rape Crisis, Help Me Grow, Veterans, Caregivers, and many more.

With increased technology capabilities and demands, 211 Palm Beach / Treasure Coast also launched CHAT and text messaging functions to better suit the needs of the residents in the service area. 211 Palm Beach/Treasure Coast's mission is to save lives through crisis intervention and by connecting people to health, mental health, and wellness services 24 hours a day every day. Responsibilities: Serves as a visible representative of 211 Treasure Coast / Help Me Grow, providing information and promotional materials as appropriate. Establish and maintain professional relationships with child care providers, pediatricians, partner organizations and other potential sources of Help Me Grow referrals within the Treasure Coast.

Completing developmental screens and referrals to qualified children as needed. Develops articles and creates content for inclusion on 211’s website or other media, including social media. Identifies and cultivates opportunities to speak to pediatric community organizations regarding 211 and Help Me Grow; utilizing the agreed upon PowerPoint presentation.

Assists with funding applications and reports. Initiates and manages logistics of community outreach and Books, Balls, and Blocks events. In conjunction with the 211 Senior Programs Manager develops the annual marketing plan for Help Me Grow.

Responsible for other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Special Education or related human services field or Associates Degree in early child development from an accredited college or university preferred; experience may be substituted for degree.

Knowledge of systems, organizations, and programs that deal with children and families facing developmental, behavioral and learning challenges. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Suite; ability to enter and retrieve information in databases Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills.

Ability to establish professional relationships. Presents a professional image at all times. Requires good attendance and punctuality.
