Children#s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics, located in Kansas City, is actively recruiting a Medical Toxicologist to the Division of Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Therapeutic Innovation.


This Toxicologist will join a robust, innovative, multi-disciplinary team offering a broad range of clinical, educational and research initiatives to the institution in the areas of Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Toxicology, while enjoying tremendous support from hospital and academic leadership.# # Children#s Mercy Hospital has a well-established in-patient medical toxicology consultation service in addition to an Individualized Pediatric Therapeutics Program (IPT) to provide inpatient and outpatient assessment to patients with adverse drug reactions, drug-drug interactions, unanticipated responses to therapy, and other complex therapeutic issues. This medical toxicologist has the opportunity to actively collaborate in various initiatives, and will have significant opportunities for education and career development. # Physicians with emergency medicine training will be afforded the opportunity to work shifts in the emergency department (ED).# In addition emergency physicians will have the opportunity to work in the emergency department at Truman Medical Center, the affiliated adult emergency department with an established emergency medicine residency program.


Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
