Austin Radiological Association is a nationally renowned radiology practice with a 65-year history of providing exceptional service and clinical care to the patients of Austin and Central Texas. A nationally respected practice, Austin Radiological Association, with 110+ radiologists, is also one of the largest radiology groups in the country.

ARA serves 20 hospitals and operates 17 outpatient imaging centers, including centers that offer general multimodality services as well as centers that focus exclusively on women's health.

ARA is partnered with the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas to redefine how diagnostic testing is designed, delivered, and leveraged to improve health. Austin Radiological Association is seeking a skilled, motivated pediatric interventional radiologist for a partnership track position to expand our section of pediatric and interventional radiologists currently providing pediatric interventional care in Central Texas.

The section's primary pediatric practice site is Dell Children's Medical Center, where it performs advanced imaging, diagnostic interpretation, and cutting-edge interventional procedures. Dell Children's is a 248-bed state of the art freestanding pediatric facility serving a 45+ county area and houses the region's only level I pediatric trauma center as well as a level IV NICU. Recent expansions include additional capacity for cardiovascular and pediatric ICU services as well as a comprehensive fetal care center.

Solid organ transplant programs are under development. Additionally, the Dell Children's North campus will be opening in Spring 2023. The group provides pediatric radiology care to additional contract sites within the greater Austin and Central Texas area.

A multidisciplinary vascular anomalies clinic meets 1-2 times a month, providing a robust referral base for sclerotherapy and other related procedures. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with the full spectrum of pediatric interventional care, including vascular access, biopsies, drain/tube placement, GU and hepatobiliary procedures, arterial and venous interventions, and management of vascular malformations. The candidate should also be comfortable with general diagnostic radiology.

Candidates with a background in adult interventional radiology have the option to be based in the adult IR section and will not have pediatric diagnostic radiology responsibilities. The practice includes support staff, robust IT infrastructure, and optional private or common reading rooms for after-hours shifts. ARA radiologists also serve as faculty for The University of Texas Dell Medical School.

The practice runs an ACGME radiology residency program with opportunities to teach residents, fellows, and medical students. Dell Medical School faculty appointment is optional but encouraged. Applicants seeking dedicated academic time may inquire about available opportunities.
