The Division of Endocrinology, Department of Pediatrics at Nemours Children's Hospital (NCH) in Orlando, Florida, is expanding farther into Central Florida by establishing a strategic partnership with Lakeland Regional Hospital (LRH). A brand new Women's and Children's Pavilion will open its doors in Lakeland this year with state-of-the art pediatric facilities, including dedicated pediatric outpatient clinics and operating rooms. As part of the strategic growth, The division of Pediatric Endocrinology at Nemours Children's Hospital is seeking a BE/BC pediatric endocrinologist to join our team of 5 pediatric endocrinologists, 2 ARNPs, 5 certified diabetes educators, 3 endocrine nurses and 2 registered dietitians. The position will be primarily based at Lakeland Regional Hospital with coverage at Nemours Children's Hospital in Lake Nona, Orlando.
The outpatient responsibilities of this new position will require 8 half-day clinics in Lakeland, Florida. The new endocrinologist will be supported on-site by a dedicated full-time ARNP, diabetes educator, endocrine nurse and medical assistant. The new physician will have inpatient call responsibilities at Nemours Children's Hospital in Lake Nona 1:6 weeks.
Nemours Children's Health System is proud to collaborate with Lakeland Regional Health to provide the patients and families of their community access to high quality specialized pediatric care from providers dedicated to serving the area. Our division has a strong referral base. Academic appointments are available at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine based on academic interest of the applicant. There are also outstanding research opportunities, both clinical and laboratory based, that exist through both Nemours and its academic affiliates.
