Camping World is currently hiring Pre-Delivery Inspectors and Technicians for our PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) facility in Goshen, Indiana.
This delivery inspection process will free up time for our Technicians at the dealership locations by ensuring new units delivered are free of manufacturing defects. Through the PDI process, Technicians will provide a full structural inspection, underbelly to roof, and will test various systems and appliances to ensure everything is working properly as designed.
We are ideally looking for someone who possesses or is interested in learning diagnostic and repair skills for RV coach systems. Someone who is passionate about fixing mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and maintenance problems would be ideal. A successful Service Technician will have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and well-versed in all maintenance and repairs. Camping World will pay to certify individuals not already certified.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide and document complete diagnostic tests and inspections to prepare units to be delivered to dealerships
Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry and appliance inspection and maintenance
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
Keep supervisor appraised of work progress
Ensure that the final work product meets quality standards and is inspected by supervisor or designee
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Essential Job Skills:
Previous PDI (pre-delivery inspection) service is preffered, but not required
May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices
Prolonged periods of standing, crawling and bending.
Valid driver's license
