Job Overview

Coordinate and supervise the daily inbound and/or outbound operations and personnel, including packing of dealer stock and emergency orders according to assigned priorities, procedures, and quality standards. Coordinate with Home Office to resolve retailer inquiries and complaints regarding picking and packing discrepancies. Ensure the DAG and domestic shipments and returns from retailers are processed and binned in a timely manner so that they are available for sale without delay and in compliance with quality standards. Direct the daily distribution of retailer stock orders and supervise warehouse persons in Inbound and/or Outbound (sort, put away, proper storage, picking and packing the orders) according to assigned priorities, procedures and quality standards.

Ensure that the parts storage is maintained in the most efficient and practical way, that location administration is carried out properly and that warehouse is kept in a clean and orderly condition. Ensure that warehouse operations meet MBUSA and ISO 9001 quality standards to ensure that retailer orders are processed and shipped in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain clean and safe warehouse environment by ensuring that safety procedures and quality standards in assigned areas are carried out. Ensure implementation and compliance with company policies, procedures and quality standards; compliance with security and safety rules. Ensure that all warehouse material handling equipment is maintained in good operating condition and is repaired or replaced when necessary. Ensure that building and grounds are maintained in good condition.

Reconcile the physical inventory with the EDP System to avoid errors which occur in binning and order processing which, if not reconciled immediately, would reflect the wrong inventory information causing unavailability or unnecessary ordering of replenishment stock. Ensure timely and accurate implementation and execution of special projects (such as Lean, 5s, Kaizen/CIWs) in warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

To coach, mentor, direct, train, discipline and motivate warehouse personnel in all aspects of warehouse activities including receiving, stock keeping, picking, inventory and shipping of automotive parts. To ensure efficient and economical movement of resources, while leading all warehouse employees to achieve and exceed PDC objectives and quality standards.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited school) or equivalent work experience with emphasis in: Bachelor's Degree Must have 3-5 years (total) of experience in the following:

  • Administration --> General Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.

  • Business - General --> Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.

  • Business Management --> Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, human resource management and efficiency and process methods.

  • Processing --> Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.

  • Quality Assurance --> Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability.

Additional Information

  • A fully trained individual must have a comprehensive understanding of all PDC operations, policy and procedures such as production quality and volume standards utilized in the warehouse, MBUSA and ISO 9001 quality standards, warehouse administration, performance appraisals, location management, and all applicable parts systems;

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills;

  • Must have ability to develop a good working relationship with peers and subordinates;

  • Must have the ability to support a cohesive team environment and motivate employees within facility to perform efficiently and productively while still maintaining the quality of the systems;

  • Must be trained and certified in the handling of hazardous materials.
