Job Summary: Technologist will select equipment and protocol to meet the specifications of an examination

used in the diagnosis of disease.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients to maximize clinical quality for tests ordered.

  • Setup and perform vascular ultrasound and segmental pressure protocols per standard

  • Maintain necessary documentation for regulatory compliance

  • Ensure all necessary equipment is in proper working order and supplies are available for studies

  • Evaluate scans for technical quality

  • Cross train within department to provide support to other diagnostic modalities including but limited to EKGs

  • Perform patient scheduling, registration and order entry for ultrasound and other diagnostic modalities

  • Gather information and scans required for ACR

  • Maintain accurate patient records

  • Order department supplies as needed

  • Understand and use the PACS system

  • Understand and send images to remote reading sites

  • Provide orientation for new technologists

  • Obtain medical histories

  • Charge procedures in Meditech

Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Ultrasound Technology required.

Licenses / Certifications: RVT, ARDMS required. American Heart Association BLS required (must obtain within 6 months of hire).

Experience: One year experience preferred

Schedule: On an as needed basis. Job Summary: A Radiologic Technologist utilizes medical diagnostic radiation in the production of medical images in the performance of radiologic procedures. Essential Job Responsibilities: * Responsible for positioning patients, adjusting proper exposure techniques with the least radiation exposure, distinguishing acceptable radiographs, use of protective shielding, use and care of personal dosimeters, preparation and administration of chemical mixtures for the visualization of anatomy. * The primary concern is the lessening of discomfort for the patient, assuring privacy, confidentiality and dignity. * Protects patient, self, and other staff from radiation hazards. * Takes X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients and includes implementing infection control procedures for the work area. * Selects proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis. * Performs quantity and quality control checks to assure X-ray unit meets standards required by laws, rules, and departmental policies. Requirements Education: Graduate of Approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
