MSE Engineer collaborates on tasks as part of a larger development effort to develop models of Features, Platform Systems and User Experience using corporate modeling techniques to ensure performance to spec.
MSE Engineer is a key role in the first stages of Feature development, ensuring a high-quality design supported by virtual verification methods.
MSE Engineer is a Team Leader that coordinates people to ensure the delivery.
At Ford Motor Company, we believe freedom of movement drives human progress. We also believe in providing you with the freedom to define and realize your dreams. With our incredible plans for the future of mobility, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you to accelerate your career potential as you help us define tomorrow's transportation. Ford has led the automotive industry for over a century, and Ford Model e is poised to lead the electric vehicle market through innovative vehicles and digital features that power them. We are building a world-class software and cloud service engineering team and are excited to grow our Technical Program Management capability.
Participation in process and tool reviews to identify appropriate industry standard SysML and MBD development practices to support feature, platform system and user experience modeling in the following areas:
Capturing and documenting business, feature development, functional safety and testing requirements
Translating and architecting feature requirements into executable system designs
Developing interfaces between objects/classes
Specifying system level requirements
Ensure Model Based Design systems align with production launch objectives.
Interface with Core Feature Owners and external development partners to communicate and coordinate modeling process.
Ensure that forward Model teams have the necessary tools, skills and resources to deliver new features.
Early validation of Feature proposal and re-design as needed.
Core activities: How To's and Guidelines creation, Process definition and update, Scripts creation and improvement, Global model examples development. MBSE model owner responsible for leading model development for new features or application of legacy features at the systems engineering level.
Coordinates model use and ownership across multiple Integrated Product Teams
Design and build specifications (SysML), models (physics) and advanced simulations (multiple frameworks) of modules, actuators, controls and sensors.
Guides model structure and key model focus areas.
Develop and lead automated data validation/consistency scripts.
Develop and present review packages to internal and external senior leadership.
Develop refinements to process, method and engineering tool standards.
Collaborate with product engineers to improve how we virtually validate solutions against real-world application benchmarks for quality and robustness.
Develop and integrate to support MIL/SIL/HIL environments.
