We're growing rapidly and are currently seeking forensics leads to support our UK and US offices.

What you'll do

  • Lead PFI Investigations of credit card breaches. This may include carrying out onsite imaging of disk and memory, or remote acquisition of the same. As well, collection and analysis of collected images and triage data will be required. Furthermore, you will respond in a timely manner to clients and card brands and acquirers

  • Drive engagement with clients and guide them through the investigation. Oftentimes, clients are unaware of what is required during a PFI investigation. As a result, you will help guide the clients through the process of the investigation and clearly outline what tasks must be completed in order to move the investigation forward

  • Develop skills and techniques for efficient assessments which can be fed back into the incident response process to improve the overall process

What you'll bring

  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Three years' experience with doing Incident Response and Computer Forensic investigations for organizations of differing sizes

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with varied stakeholders (e.g. business, technical, executive)

  • Team player who thrives on collaboration and influencing without authority

  • Well-developed organization skills with a close attention to detail

Bonus Points

  • Consulting/professional services experience is preferred
  • GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA) or equivalent certification

As a Senior Digital Forensic IR Investigator within Verizon's Investigative Response team, you'll be expected to serve as a tactical arm of the team, conducting live incident response, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and other IT investigative work. Due to the inherent volatility of investigative response work, the candidate will be expected to discharge the various responsibilities assigned to their role while successfully managing a variable case load. In this role, you will be responsible for integrity in analysis, quality in client deliverables, as well as gathering case-load intelligence. The position will operate in a close team of computer forensics, fraud examiners, and other IT investigative experts, as well as customer management, counsel, human resources, and other IT technical personnel. In this role, you'll be responsible for: * Leading an engagement in at least 2 of our core offerings. * PCI-related IR/Forensics investigations, Financial Services, Intellectual Property, Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), Expert Witness/Litigation Support, IR Training, Industrial Control Systems and Mobile Phone Forensics. * Must be able to assist customers in responding rapidly and effectively to computer-related incidents and should consistently exceed expectations while working in a customer-facing setting. * Have the capability to quickly identify the source of a security breach and move toward containment. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: * Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. * Four or more years of relevant work experience. * Four or more years of experience in a forensics security environment * Experience in the tools, techniques, and methodologies surrounding incident response, computer forensics, industrial control; systems, IoT, and eDiscovery. * Knowledge and experience in UNIX, Linux, Windows, MacOS. * Experience conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and ethical hacking. * Experience with malware analysis and reverse engineering, network forensics, memory forensics and mobile forensics. * Experience with evidentiary procedures, volatile criminal/civil situations, fraud analysis and an IR fundamental are ideal. * Experience of managing the day-to-day aspects of protected customer relationships, as well as IT investigative cases and corporate security incidents. * Experience in electronic crimes law enforcement, military intelligence, or with a security professional services organization. * Willingness to travel. Even Better if You Have: * A Degree. * Six or more years of experience in a forensics security environment. * Experience in a security professional services consulting firm is desirable. * Experience in conducting live analysis on networks and across multiple platforms is desired. * Experience in managing multiple projects on a daily basis. * Understanding of information security; network architecture; general database concepts; document management; hardware and software troubleshooting; email systems, such as Microsoft Exchange, Office365, GSuite; Microsoft Office applications; and computer forensic tools such as EnCase and FTK. * Detail-oriented and must be able to interact with other staff and customers effectively, in person or by phone. * Critical thinking, problem solving and the ability to endure long working hours and up to 75% travel is vital. * IT technical experience, strong communication skills, and must be technically able to hit the ground running in most any back office environment. * Ability to work extremely well under pressure, while maintaining confidentiality, and a professional image and approach with customers is critical. * Candidate does not already possess a current PCI QSA/QIRA or GCFA certification; they should have the background and requirements in order to successfully achieve one within the first 6 months of employment. 22CyberVES22CyberOPS When you join Verizon...
