PCB Engineer

Job description:

• This PCB Engineer will report to R&D Hardware Team to develop, and design embedded electrical systems for NDT (Non-Destructive Test) equipment. Must have the ability to design PCB schematics, write C/C++ firmware and FPGA firmware with Verilog / VHDL.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support electrical hardware development and implement solutions for NDT test equipment.

• Hardware implementation

• Component selection, Schematics design & PCB layout support, Simulation, Analysis, and testing

• Firmware and FPGA coding implementation with C/C++, Verilog / VHDL on Xilinx, and Altera platform

• Support prototype building, wring, testing & co-ordination with cross functional team.

• Analyze and develop Test Plans and procedures for Qualification and Acceptance processes.

• Troubleshoot defects in the design via hands on testing and through feedback.

• Support field equipment installment, testing and qualification.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

• Highly innovative, self-motivated, and able to conduct research under manager supervision.

• Excellent team working ability, communication skills, and flexibility.

• Problem solving tools and practical problem solving.

• Basic computer skills: Microsoft office applications

• Word, Power Point, Excel.

• Knowledge of Digital/Analog circuit design, PCB schematic and layout with Altium / Eagle or other ECAD tools.

• Knowledge or experience on FPGA design with Verilog/VHDL on Intel / Xilinx or other platforms.

• Knowledge or experience of Firmware design with C/C++ on ARM or other microcontrollers.

• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, TCP/IP and other serial communication protocols.

• Knowledge or experience on board level circuit boards test, debugging and repairing.

• Knowledge or experience using Hardware lab equipment such as digital scope, logic analyzer, and soldering skills.
