Our Clarksburg Maryland office seeks a PCB Designer. This position reports to the Hardware & Support Director. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, passionate about their work, and versatile enough to address and complete Multi-Layer Printed Circuit Boards and Flex Circuit designs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and development of complex detailed rigid, semi-rigid, and flexible printed circuits using CAD tools.

  • Take responsibility for PCB outline and layer setup; component placement and signal routing.

  • Interface with board fabrication vendor to ensure the understanding of critical design parameters, board stack-up and material requirements.

  • Create detailed electrical/mechanical layouts with the use of schematics with guidance from engineers.

  • Work directly with designers and engineers to prepare drawings from conceptual designs to final product documentation, as needed.

  • Generate fabrication drawings including mechanical parts, PWB documentations, assembly drawings and instructions, and all the necessary drawing views required.

  • Maintain engineering documentation files and incorporate Engineering changes received from designers and engineers.

  • Develop and research state of the art methodologies pertaining to the design and layout of PCB and Flex circuits.

  • Generate detail Fabrication drawings of the PCB design and associated Gerber files for factory use.

  • Demonstrate support for company values and vision and embrace TDSI Core Values.

  • Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company procedures.

Qualifications

  • US Citizenship required. Applicants selected may be subjected to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Experience in any of the following PCB design tools: Altium, Cadence Allegro, PADS, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics.

  • Direct experience with the Mentor Graphics PCB design suite is preferred.

  • Experience in PCB Librarian work related to the creation of component symbols and layout footprints.

  • Pocess strong interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills - oral, written and presentation.

  • The qualified PCB Designer will typically have 2+ years in the area of PCB computer aided design.

We currently have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager. This position reports directly to the Manager of Mechanical Design. Responsibilities In this position, you will function as an Associate Mechanical Engineer and perform Mechanical product design from conceptualization to production for tactical portable and mobile communications equipment. You will be involved in all aspects of the design of electronics packaging for small, rugged, light weight, portable handheld devices (i.e. 2-way radios) and their accessories (batteries, chargers, base stations, etc.). You will increase your design experience and knowledge in various mechanical processes (machining, die casting, injection molding, etc.) and gain a deeper understanding of various materials (metals, plastics, elastomers, etc). You will be responsible for design, conducting analysis (thermal, stress, etc.), design documentation, mechanical drawings, building prototypes, and performing verification testing to ensure your design meets product requirements. Qualifications * U.S. Citizenship.
