Sloan is seeking to hire a PCB Designer to join our division based in Andover, MA. The PCB Designer is a strong contributor to the design and development of Sloan's growing product portfolio and continuous improvement initiatives while also working in a highly collaborative team to customize existing products to meet customer requests and support the core business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and redesign Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs for hardware components for use in touch free commercial plumbing systems;

• Update existing printed circuit board designs for product updates and to meet customer or vendor requirements;

• Develop PCB layouts; creating components library from its specification utilizing principles of electronics and mechanical engineering;

• Perform component placements and determining wire routings;

• Verify existing designs and recommending improvements;

• Recommend new design concepts and preparing design documentation, requirements specifications and PCB models;

• Propose process improvements to ensure PCB functionality and quality;

• Perform associated engineering change orders for PCB release, which includes updating any changes to engineering hardware design and documents change processes using SAP;

• Participate in the project review processes to provide technical input on necessary improvements; and Utilize Design for Manufacture and PCB layout standards to understand vendor capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline such as Electronics and Communication Engineering;

• Five (5) years of experience with PCB Layout Design for commercial applications, including technical skills with Altium design tool, low power analog circuit design, PCB fabricators, power analog engineering fundamentals, circuit design techniques, and SAP system; engineering project planning and task management; electronics engineering principles on power, signal integration, EMI, and circuit theory; 2D and 3D drawing tools and technologies; and PCB layout standards IPC-2221, IPC2223; and developing high speed analog, digital and mixed signal and RF circuit design layouts.
