SUMMARY: The position is in Everett at the IT Service Center This person needs their A+ Cert or able to get within 90 days, should have very high customer service skills and good tech skills.
They would be sitting at the front desk to be the first responder for users walking into the service center, ability to multi task, assist with triage (helping the user to determine the issue, fix it if it is fairly quick), or taking them thru the process of creating a ticket and helping with a loaner if needed for more in depth diagnostics. As time permits, doing some of the in depth diagnostics and repair of the laptops. Making sure all users who walk in are greeted right away, so no one feels neglected.
Assisting with cell phone initial setup as needed and generally letting the users vent while listening and providing assurance that we are there to help get them back to a position of having a working device, and, of course, providing good teamwork with the other techs at the center. Job Title : PC Technician Hiring Company : Apex Systems Target Compensation : $17.00 per hour, paid weekly, on a W2 basis, OT is time + half Contract duration : 2 year contract, possible extension or direct hire conversion Work Schedule : Hours: Mon-Fri either a 6:30 or 7:00am to 4 or 4:30pm Start date : ASAP (After official offer received and background check, drug screen, badging is completed) Location : Everett, 98204 (Personal vehicle required, site-to-site travel compensated at .54 cents per mile)
Must have current CompTIA A+ certification or be willing to obtain the certification within the first 90 days of hire (Apex can provide training and 15% discount on any CompTIA test vouchers!) Experience troubleshooting laptops and Dell PCs Need to have physically pulled apart a lap top. RESPONSIBILITIES: Technical Support Hardware and software configuration break fix including the following platforms: Windows 7, Windows 10, Apple ISO, and Android Ensure standard baseline configuration Assist with any issues regarding installation of hardware & software Disaster recovery support, including hardware replacement and data backup.
Comply with computing security requirements (hardware, software, data, and access). Ensure clients have the capability to remotely access company network resources through (but not limited to): A properly configured remote access client configuration (access to the company intranet) Standard, company offered, mobility devices Connectivity technologies available on corporate aircraft Support early adopters (Pilots, Beta Testing, processes, etc.), with in our capabilities and limitations of the technology Full Service Hardware & Software IMACD services Gather requirements, coordinate acquisition and schedule for customer convenience Data backup and restoration, software installation, wireless configuration Training on deployed hardware and software Technical consultation and procurement assistance on hardware and software Asset record accuracy and coordination .
