We have an immediate opening for an PC Maintenance Technician to join our rapidly growing team. The PC Maintenance Technician works with a larger team to ensure customers computing platforms are correctly configured and optimized for operations. Under direct supervision, performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization. Maintains an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and component parts used in repair work. Prepares progress reports for all work performed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Configure authorized end user and network devices, to include computers, printers, laptops, scanners, and other hardware.

  • Configure bulk authorized end user and network devices, to include computers, printers, laptops, scanners, and other hardware

  • Provide local touch labor services, to include installation, troubleshooting, and software updates; security updates; vendor patches (service packs, service releases), etc., when electronic application means do not exist

  • Provide local touch labor services, to include installation, troubleshooting, and repair

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education / Experience / Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

  • 3+ years of experience as a computer technician ore desktop support specialist.

  • Must possess and maintain an IT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and an IAT II certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002

Knowledge:

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to research & solve complex issues independently.

  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills and apply them as needed.

  • Ability to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.

  • Ability to set up and configure server hardware

Abilities:

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines

  • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision

  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature

  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

This position requires an active Top Secret government security clearance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Performs general maintenance and repair of building structures and their mechanical, electrical, or sanitary systems. * Performs general maintenance and repair of the establishment's machinery. * Respond to system generated work orders and tenant calls. * Evaluate and report to the Supervisor the need for appropriate contractors for repairs. * Maintain parts inventories according to the needs of the site as well as stocking, disposing and replenishing air filters for the HVAC systems. * Work requires a basic practical knowledge of several maintenance trades in order to perform most of the following: keeping in good repair building woodwork; wall, floor and other surface treatments; replacing electrical switches, fixtures, and motors; occasional painting or touching up of structure or equipment; repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures, household appliances and equipment; and replacing broken window panes, locks and keys. * The work performed will be truck based work. The will be required to accept and close out work orders using a handheld device and be able to work independently to meet the goals of his supervisor.
