PBM Compliance Manager - PS12084

Locations: Virginia Beach, VA; Mason, OH; Atlanta, GA; New Jersey; Wallingford, CT

The PBM Compliance Manager is responsible for coordinating compliance activities and initiatives across the PBM and the enterprise by maintaining department approved regulatory and legislative compliance plan and implementing effective internal controls.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifies, monitors, revises and tracks business unit processes and implementing procedures to ensure compliance with all related measures.

  • Identifies potential risks associated with PBM activities and ensures procedures are in place to minimize risks.

  • Partners with business units to ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

  • Participates as compliance subject matter expert on all mandated projects; achieves business operational compliance with all related measures relative to HIPAA and SOX and Privacy and Security Office initiatives.

  • Conducts, directs, leads and facilitates all activities related to Internal and External (Regulatory and Client) audits and responds to findings.

  • Performs high level regulatory research, develops strategic plans and pro-actively anticipates business needs and requirements.

  • Develops and implements training and communication plans; manages and leads scheduled and ad-hoc compliance projects; provides and delivers compliance consultation services to the business unit.

  • Requires BA/BS, 6-10 years experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • MS/MBA or field related professional designation preferred.

  • Ability to travel required (25%).

Process Expert I – RX Prior Authorization Oversight Assists in monitoring Prior Authorization work to ensure appropriate and timely handling in accordance with state, regulatory, accreditation and CMS requirements.   Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Monitors reports to ensure cases are processed timely. * Reviews adjustment requests submitted to Intake site for accuracy and clarifies requests with the submitter as appropriate. * Researches operations workflow problems and system irregularities. * Assists with the development and testing of process improvement solutions for new systems, new accounts and other operational improvements. * Provides feedback for training and documentation related to system workflows, user training materials and/or other operational processes. * Assists in supporting management with pharmacy initiatives. * Assists with training and coaching new associates. * High School diploma / GED required; * BA/BS degree preferred; * Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. * Experience (business analysis, process improvement, project coordination) preferred. * Experience in high-volume managed care operations (claims, customer service, enrollment and billing) preference. * Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) experience required. * Coaching and training experience strongly preferred. * Pharmacy and/or Prior Authorization preferred. * Must be available for any 8 hour shift between 8:00AM and 11:00PM Eastern time. * Rotating weekend and holidays required, and overtime may also be required.   * Note that this position is located in office of Mason OH, Virginia Beach VA, Grand Prairie TX, or St. Louis MO only.
