Robert Half is exclusively representing this role on behalf of a dynamic client. Are you looking for a role where you will work as the primary payroll processor, but will also be involved with Human Resources functions?

What you will do on a daily/weekly basis; --Process payroll and payroll related reports, as well as review biweekly OT calculations with the CFO --Prepare reports for OT, 401K, Holiday Bonus, Profit Sharing Bonus, Annual Review Raises and other ad hoc requests --Process payroll journal entries and accruals --Process commissions --Set up of new employees, manage the ADP Workforce Now, maintains the system for up to date and accurate system --Assists with recruiting, interviewing and hiring personnel --Coordinates the updating of job descriptions, received and reviews job descriptions from department managers --Conducts new employee orientation

Requirements
--3+ years of experience specifically with ADP Workforce now --A complete understanding of the full payroll process from entering an employee in the system through processing commissions --Proven experience with understanding the benefits process, including employment and enrollment forms --Exposure to general Human Resources functions, which include on-boarding, new hire orientation, explanation of benefits and recruiting

About the Agency: The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. DDS is seeking a motivated and experienced candidate for the role of Human Service Coordinator (A/B). Job Responsibilities: (The duties and responsibilities stated are a general summary and not all inclusive.) The Human Service Coordinator (HSC) position will monitor the safety and wellbeing of assigned individuals and advocate in regard to their human, civil, and legal rights through the implementation of support services, the Individual's service plan, and other necessary means. The HSC will monitor DDS funded and auxiliary funded programs by visiting the establishments on a frequent and as needed basis as well as documenting the visits and observations as regulated by the Department. Regular contact with individuals, families, and providers is a necessity for cohesiveness in working with the team. The selected candidate will be required to travel to individuals' homes, programs, and outside meetings that may or may not be in close proximity of the Area Office. It is essential for this position to be responsible for the coordination, facilitation, monitoring the development and progress of support plans for assigned individuals as per DDS regulations, as well as coordination of DDS funded and auxiliary support services in response to individual's needs. The ability and willingness to utilize the communication method of individuals assigned to a caseload is an important function of this position. The HSC will also be required to coordinate referrals to community services and other state agencies, as well as provide outreach and communication with these entities. The selected candidate must demonstrate a willingness to work with individuals and families on their caseloads who are interested in participating in the Participant Directed Program. This will involve learning the nuts and bolts of performing the duties of a support broker in assisting families and individuals in directing their own supports. The Human Service Coordinator must maintain up-to-date record keeping – both electronic and hard copy, maintain appropriate and timely documentation for individuals enrolled in any of the Department's waiver or non-waiver services, communicate with team members, as well as maintain regular communication with Area Office Management. It is essential to effectively represent the Department and Area Office in a professional manner. Other job duties may be assigned as needed. Special consideration will be given toapplicants that have experience working with the court systems, communitycrisis intervention teams, police departments, hospitals, housing authorities,and shelters. SUBSTITUTIONS: * A Bachelor's or higher degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, education of the physically or emotionally handicapped, education of the multiple handicapped, education of the learning disabled, human services, rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, recreation therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, or physical education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of two years of education for one year of experience. * Mental Health Case Manager and Forensic Transition Team Coordinator assignments only: Degree substitutions must be in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, human services, education of the physically or emotionally handicapped, education of the multiple handicapped, or education of the learning disabled. * Department of Developmental Services assignments only: * A current and valid Massachusetts license or registration as a physical therapist, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, audiologist, registered nurse, dietitian, or social worker may be substituted for two years of the required experience. * A current and valid Massachusetts license or registration as a physical therapy assistant or occupational therapy assistant may be substituted for one year of the required experience. * One year of education equals 30 semester hours. Education toward a degree will be prorated on the basis of the proportion of the requirements actually completed. * No substitutions will be permitted for the required year of professional experience. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND LICENSES: * One of the following is required for Qualified Developmental Services Professional assignments in the Department of Developmental Services only: * A current and valid Massachusetts license or registration as a physical therapist, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, audiologist, registered nurse, dietitian, or social worker, OR * A Bachelor's or higher degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling education, education of the physically or emotionally handicapped, education of the multiple handicapped, education of the learning disabled, human services, rehabilitation, rehabilitation counseling, nursing, recreation therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, music therapy, or physical education. * Based on assignment, travel may be required.
