The Payroll/HR Coordinator will process weekly payroll for Wilson Tool, and biweekly payroll for two smaller subsidiaries, AspectLED and Doering Company. Will participate as a member of the HR Team and assist with HR administrative tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Processes weekly and biweekly payrolls for approximately 500 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
Handles all payroll related activities such as processing garnishments, responding to verifications of employment, creating financial reports, maintaining all employee data in ADP and preparing personnel files (electronic).
Records and processes federal, state and local taxes for various states.
Supports the HR department by providing excellent customer service to employees by responding to their questions and/or directing them to the correct HR professional for assistance.
Assist with various HR activities to include planning and executing company events, celebrations, birthdays and anniversaries, retirements, communications, and milestone bonuses.
Participate as a member of the HR team and support any HR administrative need as time permits.
Become knowledgeable in HR and grow with the department.
Use creativity and prepare a weekly company newsletter (training provided).
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
Education and Experience:
AA degree in business or 4+ years of experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
