Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Process bi-weekly payroll for 500 + hourly and salary employees

-Process/enter changes to employee records in the payroll system including new hire data entry

-Complete verifications of employment

-Process all required monthly reports within the payroll system

-Maintain and update personnel files

-Assist with coordination of events focused on employee recognition and dedication
-Maintain reports related to employee leave and absentees

-Assist employees with benefit/payroll inquiries

-Assist Division HR Manager with general HR related questions and matters to support all employees

-Comply with company policies and procedures

-Ensure company is compliant with all laws and regulations

-Additional duties as assigned by management

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE

-Superior time management skills including the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and the ability to lead an effective and efficient meeting

-Excellent employee relations skills including being an active listener

-Excellent oral and written communication skills

-Proficient Microsoft Office skills

-Proficient knowledge and application of payroll processing

-Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

-Ability to pay close attention to detail and deliver accurate and precise project output

-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

-Must possess sound decision making skills and multi-task while working in an environment of stress with specific deadlines

-Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

-Must possess a helpful and cooperative attitude

-Minimum of two years of experience processing large payrolls

-Four year college degree

PREFERRED candidates will possess all of the requirements above as well as:

Experience in manufacturing environment

Experience in the transportation industry

Experience with ADP Enterprise and Etime applications
