JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, state, federal and global regulations and filing of local, state, and federal and global payroll tax returns. Directly responsible for working with a third party to ensure accurately and timely remittance of all taxes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sets up new government, unemployment and locality as required for third party administrator and human resources information systems (HRIS) system.

Processes invoices to Treasury/Accounting impound for daily tax payments.

Ensures commission taxes withheld are correct.

Ensures timely and accurate updates to employees tax panels.

Reviews and processes government tax returns and employee data.

Provides annual salary, bonus and commission for year-to-date wages and taxes related to relocation charge/reimbursement.

Ensures compliance with workers' compensation and government disability required withholding.

Tests system tax updates for accuracy.

Researches and reviews wage base discrepancies for annual reporting.

Reviews third party sick pay and ensure appropriate reporting.

Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university in Accounting or related field with a minimum of three years payroll tax experience, including federal and multi state.

Finance/Accounting knowledge or experience required.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.

Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of payroll processes including pay calculations, tax geographical location (state, territory, etc.) taxation rules, etc.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve problems involving complex options in variable situations.

Requires intermediate analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

PeopleSoft system knowledge required.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications and other third party tax research tools.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

Responsibilities EnLink is seeking a results-driven Senior Tax Analyst to join our high-performance work environment. This position will primarily support the sales & use tax planning, tax reporting, and tax compliance aspects of our publicly traded entities and their subsidiaries. Duties will include filing sales and use tax returns, reviewing monthly purchases for accuracy of tax paid or accrued, managing assigned audits and refund schedules, and performing tax research as needed. This position will assist the Manager in meeting department objectives for an organization focused on executing dynamic growth plans. * Oversee compliance process, including preparation, review, and timely filing of sales & use tax returns * Audit monthly transactions to identify sales tax overpayments and exposure * Responsible for reconciling sales tax general ledger accounts * Independently manage assigned audits, including communication with external audit staff, population and sample creation, timeline prioritization, waiver maintenance, negotiation, payment, and relay of information to key stakeholders * Monitor current laws, trends and techniques relative to sales tax requirements for the company * Assist with continuously identifying, developing, and recommending process improvements * Assist with special projects as needed Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree required (or demonstrated equivalent industry experience), with basic to intermediate level accounting skills * CPA, CMI or Big 4, a plus * Minimum 3 years of relevant sales/use tax experience required, Oil & Gas industry preferred * General ledger account reconciliation experience required * Experience with PeopleSoft and/or Vertex O-series a plus * Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines * Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy * Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment * Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to use VLookup, pivot tables, subtotals, filters, etc. * Independent thinker with the ability to research and formulate sound, supportable rationale for tax determinations No agencies No sponsorships EOE Enlink Midstream Partners Dallas TX
