Leidos Corporate has an immediate opening for Payroll System and Solutions Senior Specialist to join our Enterprise Business Operations (EBO) Group in Reston, VA. The Payroll Systems and Solutions Senior Specialist will report to Payroll System and Solutions Manager and assist with special projects functions, process improvement, compliance enhancement, system configuration, and payroll system vendor management. Responsibilities and Duties- Lead payroll special projects to align with corporate objectives, and system enhancements/upgrades.
Analyze impact of special payroll projects on production and job schedules.
Coordinate required changes with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. prioritization of automated jobs, file dependencies etc.) as requested.
Provide guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
Update and maintain payroll related business process documentation, payroll standard operating procedures (SOPs), and any additional process documents to ensure timely payroll processing.- Create and maintain the standard payroll reports to identify any discrepancies.
Serve as a functional expert to support system enhancements.- Support system enhancements and upgrades that includes; subject matter expertise, coordinate schedule, define test strategy and implementation timeline, and project manage to completion.- Monitor vendor work performance reports and conduct quality assessments to ensure established company standards are met.
Investigate and provide vendor with corrective action and/or any guidance on Leidos payroll policies, procedures.
Facilitate and oversee timely resolution of vendor escalations/inquiries.
Review and oversee payroll vendor invoices for accuracy.
Design, maintain, and manage the functional aspects of payroll data interfaces.- Update and maintain payroll system configuration.
Serve as a mentor and oversee appropriate components of the overall payroll training program.- Facilitate payroll security related issues, including support of SOX and compliance audit process.- Assist with updates to Benefit and Leave plan design.- Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and minimum 8 years of Payroll relevant experience, including data analytics and payroll systems analysis. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.- Proficiency with vendor management, payroll processing systems such as ADP and Deltek (Costpoint).- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Excel, Word, PowerPoint is required.
Proven ability to lead/manage multiple projects/work streams simultaneously.- Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.- Strong organization skills and work well under pressure.- US Citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications- CPP certification.
