This position will provide leadership and administration of the University's Student Employment Program, the Langston University Wage Program, and the Human Resources Information System (Banner).
Duties and responsibilities:
Under the Customer Service Manager Employment supervision, this position plays an integral role in supporting Langston University employees and students. The Payroll Systems Analyst will oversee the Student Employment Program, and coordinate the Human Resources website information (additions, deletions, updates, etc.) Provide oversite of electronic timesheets including training, assist with monthly benefits processing, responsible for the calculations and production of the wage payroll, electronic personnel action form (EPAF) approvals, and redistributions, and training on EPAFs as needed. Assist with payroll reports and surveys.
The Payroll Systems Analyst will also assist with the Faculty/Staff monthly payroll, review monthly overtime report, and serves as a backup to the Compensation/Payroll Manager.
Implement all facets of a well-structured Student Employment program, including but not limited to rules, regulations, policies, procedures, job postings, and job placement. Student worker evaluation. Student l-9/W4, E-Verify processes, calculations, etc.
Prepares statistical reports and manuals (i.e., Student Employment Handbook [policies], Student Employment Procedures Manual, etc.). Conducts surveys, processes reports, and/or surveys such as Federal Work Study report for Financial Aid Office.
Organize and facilitate ongoing student employment workshops for student workers and supervisors. Facilitate Student Worker Orientation Program for presentation at the beginning of each semester.
Provide written/verbal responses to student employment verifications. Chair the Student Employment Advisory Committee.

Competency/Position Requirements:
Payroll processing experience. Attention to detail, timeliness on payroll deadlines, computer software knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite). Ability to take decisive action, accepting responsibility, demonstrating excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 2 years of experience working in Human Resources payroll production and Human Resources Information Systems knowledge (HRIS). Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
