Payroll Specialist

Member of the Finance team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry Payroll processing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily payroll department operations

Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits

Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance

Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll

Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)

Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed

Load import files received from HR

Research and email appropriate audience of file issues

Qualifications:

FPC or CPP preferred but not required.
4-6 years' experience processing multi-state payroll.

Working knowledge of payroll best practices.

Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.

Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.

Working knowledge of Kronos and ADP.

Strong work ethic and team player.

High degree of professionalism.

Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.

Ability to communicate with various levels of management.

Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.

This position will also provide front line support for new clients through the implementation process.</p> <p><br /> <strong>Job Duties:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze existing client systems and operational needs to support the client in Xenium’s functional system design and/or system configurations that will adapt the client needs</li> <li>Responsible for setting up new clients accurately and timely in Prism using information provided by the Implementation Manager and/or the client</li> <li>Provide post-implementation review and training of all involved parties; including performing post-implementation testing of client data and providing clients with applicable training materials</li> <li>Provide post-implementation ongoing client support for technical needs and general relevant questions in a manner that exceeds client expectations</li> <li>Provide post-Implementation training for internal payroll team members for clean hand-off of the client payrolls</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Associates degree (A.
