Qualification Requirements:

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field with a minimum of three (3) years of professional work experience.

Desired: Knowledge of PeopleSoft, excellent written and verbal communication skills; work experience in payroll field.

Job Concepts

JOB SUMMARY:

The Specialist will perform a high level of technical support for the Payroll Department and include, but not limited to; conducting random payroll audits of the departments, processing all biweekly and some supplemental payrolls, and calculating payroll related modifications. The Specialist will prepare and analyze various accounting reports, schedules, exhibits, and summaries pertaining to all payroll activities.

Regular attendance is required to perform the functions of this position. The work hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:3 0PM.

Additional hours may be required. Lunch/breaks are dictated by workflow.

Incumbent will maintain a customer-oriented awareness in acknowledging and responding to needs as they occur to assure that customer satisfaction is met at all times.

SUBSTITUTIONS: College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of thirty semester hours for one year of experience provided that three semester hours of each thirty are in accounting. An Associate Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university will substitute for two years of the required experience.
