PAYROLL SPECIALIST

The Payroll Specialist will be primarily responsible for providing timely and accurate payroll processing of weekly, hourly and semi-monthly, salaried payrolls. This includes entering payroll adjustments, processing garnishments, commissions, and various other payments while maintaining accurate payroll records. A successful Payroll Specialist will have the ability to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. An outstanding Payroll Specialist will have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of processing payroll data for both weekly, hourly and semi-monthly, salaried payrolls

  • Oversees the Fidelity 401k processing for all TNA locations along with processing all 401k changes, loans, etc.

  • Enter payroll adjustments into payroll system (UltiPro), process garnishments, commissions and various other payments as necessary.

  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.

  • Perform account balance and payroll reconciliations.

  • Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.

  • Responsible for creating the G/L and loading into SAP

  • Assist in quarterly reconciliations of all TNA payrolls

  • Assist with report writing to extract data from HRIS systems to create business intelligence reports for management and auditors.

  • Assist with annual preparation of W-2's and year - end tax adjustments.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired skills and experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, AA or BA in accounting, business, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of two years' experience processing payroll, required.

  • Payroll certification, preferred.

  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.

  • Experience working with accounting and payroll software required; UltiPro and/or Workday preferred.

  • Well-developed analytical and problem solving abilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office platform with strong Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional departments.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions and software manuals.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.

Job summary: As a Product Developer you will lead development across multi-markets (Zone AMS), supporting our projects for Chilled and Frozen category specific to Vegetarian Meal Solutions (VMS). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: (Detailed roles and responsibilities assigned to the position) Product developer: technical and scientific proficiencies * Demonstrated proficient product development skills. Experience and scientific knowledge to support formulation and development of new concepts. Creativity to assess new technologies and ingredients relevant to VMS. For example: Plant protein, binding, vegetable, grains, pulses, superfood multi-hurdle system. * Proven examples of an innovation and entrepreneurial attitude. Evaluate new technologies to impact new product, improved products or processes, and recognize commonality across the group to effectively utilize technology resources. * Ability to manage the transfer of bench top product to a manufacturing scale. Must be able to understand, use and apply technologies such as: current trial factory mixing, forming, frying, baking, and packing. * Ability to propose new materials/processes/equipment that deliver new benefits and in line with project objectives. * Planning and coordinating pilot plant, manufacturing plant tests, scaling up from lab to pilot plant to final industrial scale. * Understand food safety aspects in chilled vegetarian and implications to manufacturing setup while developing new concepts. * Investigate and apply appropriate regulation, GMPs, FDA and USDA requirements during the concept and development phase. * Partner and work collaboratively with various businesses to deliver important science and technology to support project progress. * Understand the product category and consumer insights.
