Payroll Specialist

Our corporate office in Livonia, Michigan is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Human Resources team! The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely processing of payroll for hourly and salaried employees. This position will maintain payroll compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collect Timecard data for hourly employees via Time Management System

• Interfaces with location HR staff to ensure timely receipt of payroll data

• Ensure that weekly payrolls are processed accurately and timely

• Audit payroll data prior to posting

• Report Payroll liabilities

• Respond to employee inquires

• Process garnishment calculations

• Analyze payroll issues and recommend corrective actions

• Review change of status requests to ensure proper information is updated

• Create reports as needed

Education/Background Requirements:

• 3-5 years' experience processing payroll for multiple states across US

• In house UltiPro payroll processing experience a plus, not required

• Bachelor's degree preferred

• A combination of education and experience may be considered

• FPC or CPP certification a plus
