Job Description Job Description Payroll Specialist About Us MaxTech, Inc. is a group of vertically integrated companies including a leading product distributor of subfloor underlayment solutions for multi-family and commercial construction (Maxxon.com), and Structis, a network of companies specializing in the application of subfloor underlayment solutions and other subcontracted services including insulation, fireproofing, resin and finished commercial flooring. Our Opportunity Will provide hands-on support to designated geographic locations to include Payroll, benefit administration, employee relations, unemployment and office support (70% payroll/HR support and 30% general business administrative support). Key Duties Include Manages payroll processes for two locations; ensures adherence to standards and procedures, and takes steps to correct problems, delays, and inaccuracies.

Assists with developing and implementing payroll procedures to ensure timely processing of payroll and the applicable payment of all benefits and payroll deductions. Ensures accuracy of payroll data input and calculations, balancing each payroll prior to processing. Coordinates payroll operations with other accounting and operations, confers with other administrative and technical staff regarding changes and new systems, and participates in developing, implementing, and testing procedures.

Provide certified payroll, Federal and Local HUD Section 3, and CHRO compliance reporting and benefits reports. Willingness to learn any new reports required by our General Contractors. Works cooperatively with Managers to process hiring, leave, terminations, and other employment-related issues.

Assist with compliance requirements and reporting. Assist employees with payroll and benefits inquiries. Assist with company administrative needs.

Key Qualifications 2-5 years' payroll experience. (Paylocity is preferred.) Construction industry experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong Excel experience. Must be tech savvy and able to navigate through different website portals.

Proven track record of successfully managing shifting deadlines and priorities. Ability to adapt and learn new processes. What’s In It For Me?
