Position Description/Qualifications:
The purpose of this position is to provide accurate and systematic payroll services and records for the school district.
Accurately maintains the district payroll system to include the correct retirement affiliation, state and federal tax information, pay rates, union dues, and TSA amounts.
Maintains accurate payroll files and spreadsheets for all school district employees to be used for staffing, negotiations and budgeting. This would include verifying correct start dates, step and lane placement, pay options, deductions, rate of pay, account codes and annual salary.
Effectively serves as a communication link (both verbal and written) between human resources, principals, directors, office managers, supervisors and employees.
Associates Degree in business, accounting or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of payroll processing experience preferred.
Have current knowledge of Federal and State payroll laws and regulations. Ability to analyze and interpret new statutes and rules and maintain compliance.
