The Payroll Operations Specialist has direct impact on the business by ensuring the quality of the tasks provided. Works under little to no direct supervision. Who can manage day to day administrative activities assigned by business head and direct manager. Understands how assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function. Requires tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex or sensitive information with others. Is sensitive to audience diversity. Basic knowledge of the organization, the business and its policies required. Typically, responsible for resolving basic to moderately complex problems based on practice and precedence.

Responsibilities:

  • The Payroll Specialist will support assigned responsibilities and follow established process developed for all job-related tasks.

  • Develop and distribute weekly and monthly reports.

  • Works within established deadlines and schedules.

  • Works with other team members on established projects and initiatives.

  • Work in close partnership with business head and senior leadership on tasks and area projects as assigned.

  • Works under little to no direct supervision and supports an expansive and/or diverse array of responsibilities.

  • Create and update spreadsheets, presentations, forms, and databases.

  • Collaborate with other departments on ongoing projects.

  • Performs other administrative duties and functions as assigned.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years relevant experience in a related job that would provide a basic knowledge activities, policies, and procedures of the work area.

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

  • Microsoft Excel proficiency

  • Multi-tasks productively and reliably, while managing conflicting priorities.

  • Collaborative work style; effectively interacts with others across organizational boundaries/hierarchies.

  • Working knowledge of technical and professional principles
