Overview

Dental Care Alliance is currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our amazing team! This position is on-site in our Weston Florida office. This ideal candidate will compile and record employee time and payroll data. Audit multi- state payrolls with bi- weekly and semi- monthly pay cycles, to ensure employees are paid accurately. Answer payroll related questions and troubleshoots issues that may arise.

Responsibilities

Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.

  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments.

  • Issue and record adjustments to pay, related to previous errors or retroactive increases.

  • Monitor paid time off for employees and make adjustments if needed.

  • Keep informed about changes in minimum wage, tax, and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.

  • Data entry, including but not limited to: direct deposit, tax, payroll, accruals and time card corrections.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Qualifications

High school diploma.

  • Associates degree with emphasis on business or bookkeeping.

Qualifications/Training:

  • Multi-state payroll processing experience preferred.

  • Federal and state tax knowledge preferred.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Previous experience with Kronos is helpful, but not required.

  • Must be detailed oriented and remain focused in a noisy and fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and external customers.

  • Ability to handle highly confidential information.

  • Must be able to prioritize and adhere to deadlines
