Responsible for processing the payroll and all related payroll duties associated with that process for the Bryan Health System.# Compiles, prepares, and reconciles payroll data associated with the Health System financial requirements to outside customers and/or employees within predetermined deadlines.# Maintains control for accuracy and timeliness of data received and follows up as needed with customers to ensure complete and accurate payroll records for the Health System.


PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


*Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.

*Balances and reconciles earnings and deduction totals; processes retroactive wage adjustments.

*Calculates adjustments to previous checks.

*Reviews and verifies validity of information received for payroll processing from other departments. Reports wages to mortgage companies and government agencies. Provides payroll information to other departments and/or employees as needed. Reviews Employee Reimbursement Requests for accuracy and compliance, and includes these payments with the payroll processing Processes vouchers for Accounts Payable checks for employees with returned payroll direct deposits *Inspects automated system output such as registers and standard reports.

*Determines and corrects out of balance conditions.

*Calculates wage and overtime payments and payroll deductions. Assists with the processing of #manual checks as needed.

*Checks and audits timekeeping records for compliance with established standards by Wage and Hour Administration and Medical Center policies.

*Maintains time and attendance records.

*Posts and maintains employee W-4 and Direct Deposit information.

*Processes and maintains wage garnishments, levies, child support orders and jury duty pay according to legal requirements.

*Maintains, reconciles, and processes payment vouchers for payment to internal and/or external vendors. Provides time and attendance training for Managers and employees. Assists as needed with audits associated with payroll information. Assists with installation and/or upgrades of payroll related computer software. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates degree in accounting or equivalent related experience required.# Minimum of two (2) years payroll experience in a comparable size and type of facility preferred.
