Tiffany & Co. is currently seeking a Payroll Representative in Parsippany, NJ. This position is responsible for supporting the weekly and biweekly payroll process. The Payroll Representative will be responsible for performing a wide variety of record keeping activities, including but not limited to ICIMS, historical edits in Kronos, maintaining accural balances, short-term disability leave administration, answering the payroll phone line, and employee maintenance. The Payroll Representative will be responsible for resolving pay discrepancies and ensuring the highest level of customer service is delivered to both internal and external customers.


The Payroll Representative will be responsible for daily payroll processing activities such as the setup, maintenance and processing of new hire, rehires, transfers, and promotions in ICIMS. The Payroll Representative will verify and ensure accuracy of employee tax setup ,leave and vacation plans setups. The employee will be responsible for entering labor management adjustments in to Kronos and adjusting accural balances in Kronos and PeopleSoft. This position will assist with the processing of disability, caregiver, parental leave and worker compensation. In addition,. the Payroll Representative will assist and respond timely with payroll department phone calls and emails. S/he will complete research and communicate with department managers regarding employee inquiries, as well as effectively collaborate and communicate with colleagues, employees and other stakeholders. The Payroll Representatiove will be responsible for supporting the weekly and biweekly payroll process and will be responsible for entering EJA information into PeopleSoft.



To be qualified for this position you must have:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of payroll experience

  • Proficiency in payroll processing systems and Microsoft Office products

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree in Accounting or Business related field

  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft HRMS

  • Payroll Certification (CPP)

  • Ability to analyze system related discrepancies

  • Familiarity with an on-line Time and Attendance System (Kronos)

The Challenge: The 'Risk Control, Payroll and Global Mobility Analyst' will work closely with HR Business Partners, Managers, Service Delivery team (Payroll, Benefits and operations), Finance and vendors, and will be responsible for supporting the Payroll team in timely and accurate processing of payroll and resolution of Tax issues. Ensure proper controls are in place according to the Internal Control Framework & legislation and support Global Mobility. The Position: Payroll Responsibilities: * Ensure that business unit payrolls (salary, tax, time attendance) are processed timely, accurately by the Payroll vendor, and in a compliant manner. * Audit and approve payroll with external Payroll Service Provider. Execute payroll controls and store evidence to ensure audit trail is in place and in accordance with the Internal Control Framework (ICF) * Register DSM with Tax Authorities. Follow-up with government and external Service provider on Tax notices. * Analyze payroll & Tax issues and recommend corrective actions. * Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, and make procedural changes related to payroll administration Risk Control Responsibilities: * DSM has a set of The ICF is a set of payroll and employee data related controls referred to as the Internal Control Framework (ICF) that must be executed as part of the operational process and, reported monthly. This role will be responsible for execution of the ICF as per approved process and deadlines. * Work with HR Shared Services, Service Delivery team, and ensure that ICF is properly managed monthly - Audit sample population, report results to the Global Risk Manager and address all follow-up questions. * Support the region in implementation of ICF related process improvements Global Mobility Responsibilities: * Serve as a back-up Global Mobility resource supporting employees who are coming to the US or leaving the US to participate in an International Assignment (IA). Be familiar with details of the IA process, field questions from employees going on assignment and HR Business Partners. * Responsible for the timely completion of payroll and HRIS paperwork when employees take an International Assignment. * Reviews and approves expatriate expenses using the Concur system and reports the amounts to the Payroll Manager, ensuring adherence to policy. Completes Accounts Payable check request forms and sends forms to federal and state tax authorities. * Works with outside vendor to ensure expat tax returns are completed on a timely basis. Logs payments and refunds received from tax authorities. The Ideal: * Have a basic knowledge of HR processes * At minimum, Bachelor degree with 1-2 years of experience in Payroll or related discipline. * Exceptional adherence to detail, efficiency and accuracy.
