The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a Payroll Practitioner in our Enfield, CT location. Payroll Practitioners at Brooks Brothers perform a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, and processing terminations. Brooks Brothers has a diverse population of about 4,500 employees spread across the US and Canada. Payroll Practitioners are also responsible for data integrity and research when payroll issues or discrepancies arise. This role is responsible for providing best in class, prompt and immediate follow up and customer service to all Associates across the US and Canada regarding payroll inquiries and questions. This position reports directly to the Payroll Manager and works alongside two Payroll Administrators and a Payroll Analyst. In addition to payroll responsibilities, this role will support our risk management functions approximately 1 to 2 days a week.

Accountabilities:

  • Processing weekly payroll

  • Tracking and inputting associate data changes (new hires, terminations, etc.)

  • Garnishments

  • Bookkeeping

  • Employment and wage verifications

  • Assist with payroll year end tasks

  • Providing support around payroll relevant company projects and initiatives

  • Perform various assigned tasks related to Workers Compensation and General Liability claim tracking and monitoring

Skills/Requirements


Preferred Experience &

Skills:
  • 2+ years of related experience and FPC designation preferred

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel

  • Access proficiency is a plus

  • Experience with ADP Vantage or ADP Workforce Now preferred
