And what will you do?
Summary:
The Payroll Manager oversees the Central States Manufacturing, Inc. payroll team, systems, and processes. They ensure compliance with laws and tax obligations, maintain accurate payroll records, and stay on top of legislative changes for local, state, and federal regulatory practices. They may also be required to perform various administrative responsibilities such as corrective payroll actions, updating or maintaining company policies, and leading change efforts for process improvements. The payroll manager will work on-site at our corporate office located in Tontitown, AR.
Core Functions:
Working with the Payroll Specialist to ensure that all payroll-related tasks are completed accurately and timely.
Implementing, maintaining, and reviewing payroll processing systems to ensure accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
Generating and reviewing various payroll reports, reconciliations, and payments, and addressing any discrepancies.
Maintaining and optimizing the payroll platform to meet the organization's specific payroll needs, staying up to date with system updates and best practices.
Directing the collection, computing, and documentation of payroll data.
Overseeing and reviewing payroll payments and account reconciliations.
Accurately setting up and maintaining earning, deduction, and tax rules, as well as business rules within UKG Pro and UltiPro Time Management (UTM).
Ensuring records and processes comply with company and legal regulations.
Coordinating with HR and accounting to verify employee data and accounts.
Maintaining accurate account balances and detailed records for auditing.
Supervising payroll team performance and training new staff.
Managing and resolving any issues related to payroll.
Preparing reports and financial statements.

Own It
Education & Experience:
Minimum Required:
4 years' experience with payroll processing for multiple states
A bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, accounting, or finance, or equivalent experience
CPP certification
Excellent knowledge of tax standards for multiple local, multiple state, and federal legislation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and UKG Pro software as a Payroll Administrator.
Familiarity with writing policies and procedures.
Proficiency in conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent project management and leadership skills.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to communicate verbally and electronically.
