Accountemps is staffing a Payroll Manager who is seeking a great company to make a career with. The Payroll Manager will be managing the Payroll department so needs to have previous management experience. The Payroll Manager needs to be an excellent communicator, able to delegate well to achieve deadlines, and exceptional in Payroll skills. The Payroll Manager will be handling but not limited to the following tasks:

  • Enter, post, and reconcile bi-monthly payroll entries

  • Research and resolve payroll issues with employees

  • Work within a team environment to achieve project milestones and deadlines

  • Inspire leadership in the Payroll team, providing mentoring and coaching opportunities with a strong investment of their career development

  • Ensure the team members are properly trained, are using best practices, and provide leadership to enhance performance, quality and productivity

  • Manage payroll activities such as recording of work hours, processing time records, compiling payroll statistics, maintaining payroll control records, and calculating payrolls

Requirements

  • Understanding of payroll taxes

  • Experience with working with a 3rd party payroll provider

  • Bachelor?s degree in business or accounting. CPP required

  • Supervisory experience with directing a support staff a plus

The program consists of a four-month paid internship, starting February 4th, 2019, that will provide an exciting and challenging career pathway into Payroll Analytics. Learn more: www.opportunityonramps.org Responsibilities: * Prepare monthly payroll instructions for all international payroll third party vendors * Audit payroll results received from third party vendors to ensure accuracy * Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with balance sheet reconciliation queries for payroll accounts * Assist with payroll and statutory audits as needed * Prepare year-end documentation as required * Track new hires, terminations, and employee changes and audit accuracy for respective country payroll results * Ensure direct deposit and tax details are established for new employees * Manage payroll Service Now tickets for international employees * Prepare and maintain International payroll process documentation * Support internal projects to migrate third party payroll providers to integrated solutions with Workday partners Qualifications: * Applicants must be US military veterans and pass a standard background check. * Cannot have been out of the military for longer than 2 years (exception is for those currently enrolled in a full time educational program). * Must have fluency in all Microsoft Office programs. * You like to collaborate with diverse groups of people. * You get excited to learn new concepts and technologies quickly. * You can work both as a teammate and independently. * You like to have fun! Workday is proud to support veterans as they transition from military to civilian careers through our Career Accelerator Program (CAP). * Veterans will receive a minimum of 1-week paid training on Workday applications and will then be placed into a 16-week paid program throughout Workday. * The objective of this program is to provide veterans with an opportunity to gain corporate job experience while gaining fluency in an in-demand technology product. * At the end of the program, participants may be offered full-time employment by Workday or gain the skills necessary to be more marketable to other employers. * We have hosted three CAP cohorts at Workday, and over 80% of participants have converted to full-time positions.
