Manages payroll activities within a centralized payroll department carrying out responsibilities for processing payroll, tax reporting, maintaining time keeping records, payroll systems maintenance and administration, and maintaining accurate set up and tax filings federally as well as in multiple states and jurisdictions.• Working knowledge of payroll processes and procedures.

  • Knowledge of federal and state laws in multiple states in accordance with payroll regulations.

  • Computer skills: Windows, MS Office- Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Advanced Excel Skills - i.e. V-Lookup, Macros, VBAs.

  • The ability to be prompt, accurate, confidential, and cordial in assisting employees with payroll questions and problems. Ability to maintain professional demeanor in a setting with multiple interruptions.

  • Thorough understanding of bookkeeping concepts, analytical, problem solving, and math skills are essential to daily responsibilities.

  • Experience working in a multi-tasking environment. Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes. Ability to work in an organized manner.

  • Effective oral communication skills.

  • Associate Degree and/or a minimum of three years experience in timekeeping and payroll, quarterly and annual federal reporting, data entry, account reconciliation, and general office responsibilities, including software applications.• Associate Degree and/or 5 years' experience

  • Experience using Oracle and UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) time and attendance, formerly Kronos, software

  • Expert level knowledge of Excel to use spreadsheets, graphing, tables, calculations, and automation efficiently to process large quantities of data relevant to business tasks.

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification
