This position is for Decostar Industries Inc., a division of Magna Exteriors
Magna Exteriors offers a variety of products for the automotive, commercial transportation, consumer and industrial markets. We are an industry leader in molding, painting and assembly, with expertise in developing exterior systems and modules for our customers' global programs.
This position reports directly to the Sr. Generalist with indirect reporting to the Division Controller and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:

Ensure that all accidents or injuries are reported immediately and actively participate in the accident investigation and completion of all open action items.

To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department's established procedures and work instructions.

Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payrolls and additional payrolls as needed.
Work closely with department supervisors to ensure employee time and attendance records are accurate and results produce correct pay for employees.
To have an attention to detail and ability to reason and problem solve.
To meet specific deadlines as required by the Sr. Generalist and Controller.
Process pay adjustments, voluntary deductions, and wage attachments including garnishments, tax levies, bankruptcies and child supports.
Data entry of employee changes such as but not limited to direct deposit, taxes, address, status changes, pay changes and shift changes.
Responsible for data integrity in ADP and frequent audits to ensure data is correct.
Responsible for maintaining all payroll processing reports, documents and files in such a manner they meet Magna audit requirements.
Prepare general ledger file for submission to finance department each payroll.
Assist and/or lead trainings to Decostar Management/Supervisors on proper use of ADP.
Manage manager/supervisor team access in ADP and make changes as necessary.
Responsible for maintaining accurate files for all wage attachments as well as interaction with various agencies as needed.
To calculate and issue manual checks.
Submit 401K employee payroll contributions to Principal and maintain those records for annual 5500 reporting to corporate.
Assist employees with set up of ADP Self Service and password resets.
Assist in month end close by preparing necessary reports as requested by the Sr. Generalist or Controller.
Lead or assist in the implementation of computer systems related to payroll, time and attendance and reporting.
Work extended hours as necessary to meet deadlines or as special projects necessitate.
Perform other duties as directed.
Knowledge and Education
Basic knowledge of personal computers, advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word
Basic knowledge of accounting for a manufacturing business a plus.
High School Diploma
Certification in Payroll or Human Resources preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
2-5 years' experience processing payroll.
Experience with ADP Payroll Systems and Time and Attendance preferred.
