Overview:
The Payroll & Benefits Associate will report to the Director of Payroll and ensure all payroll and benefit administration activities run precisely and timely. The position requires accuracy, attention to detail, sound judgement, organization, and confidentiality. The Payroll & Benefits Associate will handle day to day employee inquiries, entering and processing confidential payroll information and report management. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, compliance with relevant regulations, and effective administration of employee benefits programs. The ideal candidate can work in a collaborative environment with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
Assist with processing the payroll for approximately 500 employees on a bi-weekly basis
Entry of new hires, terminations, leaves, garnishments, employee changes, special payments etc. using ADP Workforce Now
Administer eTIME Timekeeping system for the entire company, calculating accruals per state laws, process PTO
Employee customer service; handling employee inquiries such as resolving timecard issues and pay inquiries
Process all Verifications of Employment
Administration of employee benefits programs and coordinating with benefit providers to ensure accurate and timely administration.
Assist with the managing leaves of absence, including FMLA, parental, disability, state paid leave programs and other types of leave.
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
Responding to audits and inquiries from government agencies regarding payroll and benefits.
Utilizing payroll and benefits software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance payroll and benefits administration.
Collaborating with the Talent Team members and other departments, such as Accounting, to ensure integration and consistency in payroll and benefits processes.
Manage, maintain and update payroll files and processes
Create and distribute payroll reports to vendors, departments, and management
Work with confidential information and maintain privacy for all employees
Various projects working closely with the HR and Talent Team
Qualifications:
Previous experience in payroll administration is required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Strong understanding of payroll and benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
ADP Workforce Now and/or eTIME Timekeeping system experience preferred
