WSP is currently initiating a search for a Payroll Assistant II for our Ephrata, Pennsylvania office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under supervision minimum, the Payroll Assistant II performs all duties associated with the processing, generation and distribution of the bi-weekly payroll for 7300+ employees. Prepares, maintains and transmits files and reports to various agencies and vendors.

  • Research, calculate and process all late and revised timesheets.

  • Administers all system interfaces for all pay groups.

  • Process all new hires, terminations, status changes in the ADP ProBusiness and ADP WorkForce Now system.

  • Research and process all Relocation Expense Reports

  • Setup all Garnishment, PAC and United Way deductions.

  • Process all W4 and direct deposit forms

  • Calculate and distribute all payroll wires, taxes and 401k information

  • Work with HR in resolving issues and problems

  • Reconciling the monthly Salaries to Be Distributed

  • Process termination checks

  • Monitor the payroll inbox and responds to requests for information for North America.

  • Creates and maintains employee personnel files for all active and terminated employees including creating folders, coding paperwork, reviewing paperwork and documentation for accuracy.

  • Password resets for ADP ProBusiness WorkCenter.

  • Performs employment, wage and mortgage verifications and garnishments in accordance with company policy.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years experience in a payroll operation.

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures in a payroll function

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws required

  • Proficient computer knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Canada payroll and expatriate payroll is preferred

Under the direction of a Physician or APC, the Medical Assistant provides care within scope of Medical Assistant Certification or Registration to patients referred to the clinic. Functions as a member of the health care team and is responsible for providing routine care under the supervision of a provider to meet patient and provider needs within the practice. Serves as a trained preceptor for new medical assistant orientation and for instruction of medical assistant students. Responsible for one project or initiative annually in one of the following areas: Services Excellence, Quality, Staff Development, Information Technology, or Medical Group functions. Employees will float to assigned Community Medical Group practice sites throughout the Lancaster region. Employees will be given their assignments at the beginning of the day. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required. Three (3) years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient practice or clinical specialty area required. Active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Excellent oral communication skills required. Computer skills required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree preferred.
