NSA Storage is seeking a dedicated Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join our team in Greenwood Village, Co. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all payroll related activities, maintaining accurate records and supporting various tasks related to employee benefits.

An ideal candidate will have experience in all payroll responsibilities to include reconciliation, preparing files, maintaining records, reports, and compliance. Must be able to communicate with employees regarding escalated payroll and timekeeping inquiries.

Ensure all benefits enrollments are submitted and reconciled each month. Must perform open enrollments and participate in benefits audit. This person needs to be very organized, detail oriented, and proactive.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Processing of bi-weekly payroll for 1,000 employees (multi-state)

  • Ensures compliance with all local and state processing laws

  • Ensures benefits and 401K entries are compliant and accurate

  • Updates payroll system by reviewing changes in exemptions, benefits changes, vacation pay, sick pay and other updates.

  • Processes on demand payroll through HRIS systems by calculating time records and final payouts for electronic transfers, same day.

  • Performs annual open enrollment, life events and acquisitions enrollments

  • Performs monthly benefits billing and reconciliation

  • Responds to benefits inquiries on plans, benefit enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries

  • Responds to 401K inquiries from employees relating to plan changes and contribution amounts

  • Completes Cobra Enrollments in HRIS system

  • Balances payroll by auditing information and resolving discrepancies

  • Ensures federal, state, and social security tax information, direct deposit, wage assignments and garnishments are accurate

  • Completes tax requirements, annual surveys, and other reporting requirements

  • Prepares wage reports for outside audits

  • Fulfils wage and garnishments by completing forms and adjusting payroll

  • Completes W-2 Auditing and year end process

  • Records yearly STD payments for W-2s

  • Ability to assist in new vendor set up and acquisitions

  • Regularly work cross-functionally with key partners in People Operations, Field Operations and Accounting

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk. This position may be required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing, including reconciliation, record keeping and compliance.

  • Experience with multi-state payroll & benefits administration

  • Experience with benefits administration, including open enrollments and audits

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule around processing weeks, and open enrollment

  • Solid working knowledge of payroll best practices and experience with HRIS software

  • Identifies and takes ownership of process improvements opportunities

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality and is highly ethical

  • High level of customer service skills, detail oriented

  • Must have ability to meet deadline standards

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment

Schedule: Forecasted Bi-weekly

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 8 Hours, Thursday & Friday - 4 Hours

Schedule: Forecasted Semi Monthly Payroll

Three days leading up to 5th and 20th of the month same frequency as above

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Reports to: Senior Manager, People Operations

Compensation: $27.00 - $32.00
