We are looking for an upbeat, motivated, self-starter with exceptional communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to own tasks and projects end-to-end.

Reporting to the SVP Finance, you will be the primary contact for all vendor and payroll activity and will work cross-functionally with the HR, Talent and Finance teams to provide all departments the information they need to make business decisions.

What you'll be doing

As the Payroll and A/P Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate administration of payroll for our globally distributed workforce and global vendors. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing new software tools, implementing payables and payment systems, and overseeing payroll processes to guarantee compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Payroll Administration:

• Oversee the end-to-end global payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Oversee and manage 401k employer match contributions. Ensure timely and accurate transfer to the existing 401k plan.

• Collaborate with Finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll-related accounts.

• Stay abreast of changes in tax regulations and labor laws to ensure compliance.

• Analyze salary trends and make recommendations to leadership.

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations related Payroll

Accounts Payable:

• Timely process incoming bills via company software tools and payment of vendor payables

• Preparation of supporting schedules related to outstanding payables

• Vendor review and processing in line with company policies

• Expense report processing and payment via Expensify or operating bank accounts

• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations related to A/P

Global Compensation Compliance:

• Work closely with legal and HR teams to implement and communicate changes in compliance requirements

Software and System tools and improvements:

• Partnering with Finance & HR teams, review and implement or replace existing systems as needed to improve the efficiencies of the payroll and A/P processes

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Generate reports and analytics related to payroll, benefits, and compensation

• Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for continuous improvement

Vendor Management:

• Manage relationships with external payroll and benefits vendors

• Monitor vendor performance and negotiate contracts to optimize services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field

• Proven experience (5+ years) in payables, payroll and general ledger accounting

• 3 years of experience in a startup environment

• Strong understanding of global payroll regulations and compliance

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Base pay range

$100,000-$150,000 USD
