Position Title: Payroll Analyst
Location: Freeport, IL
Reports to: Manager, Corporate Payroll
The Payroll Analyst is accountable for the timely and accurate execution of the US & Canadian payrolls, employee file adjustments and all subsequent processing and reporting to various internal and external business partners. Additionally the Analyst will be responsible for providing support to the payroll team to research and resolve payroll issues that may arise from the time and attendance system, SAP HCM or interface processing. They will ensure proper processing of stock options, relocation, garnishment, and provide labor reports for Finance groups.
Execute Payroll Runs
Set up and run processes to complete gross to net payrolls, employee adjustments and manual payment in the SAP HCM system, along with the subsequent gl and banking activities.
Run processes to pull data payroll from the time & attendance systems into HCM
Assure payroll tax deductions comply with all tax laws.
Provide payroll support on garnishment and tax levies to assure accurate processing.
Assist with SAP HCM and Workforce testing as needed.
Prepare data and provide analysis as requested by internal or external business partners.
Load employee stock options when received and reconcile the activity quarterly between HCM & Fidelity.
Partner with our third party relocation partner to gather earnings and tax information as required and upload received information into our employees records.
Administer proper tax withholding for our employees working in Mexico with the assistance of Deloitte.
Provide monthly labor reports to our various Finance groups and address questions as they arise.
Provide back-up for the other Payroll Analyst
Work on special projects as required.
Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting preferred
3+ years of experience processing multi-state and Canadian payroll a plus
High degree of competency in Excel and SAP
Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to follow HR policies while maintaining good customer service
Ability to demonstrate a professional demeanor, superior organizational skills and strong motivation to meet deadlines and achieve goals
Supervisory experience a plus
Flexible schedule due to pay run completion
