SUMMARY:

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for completing bi-weekly payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees in a multi-state environment. This position will also be responsible for the ongoing review and updating of our HRIS systems to ensure they are complete and accurate and day to day interactions with employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Generate a Bi-weekly payroll for 500+ multi-location employees

Oversee and manage the company's Time & Attendance system

Review new hire set up to ensure all withholdings, deductions, contributions and other payroll related items are complete and accurate

Perform ongoing audits of HRIS to ensure all Payroll and Time & Attendance information is accurate

Maintain payroll records in accordance with local, state and federal laws and company policy

Maintain knowledge of tax rules and regulations that govern payroll administration practices and ensure that payroll-related transactions are processed in compliance with external and internal policies, as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulations

Set up employee 401k contributions, loan repayments and maintain records

Provide data for annual audits of employee 401k plans

Calculate payroll adjustments, issue checks, process manual checks and void checks as needed

Maintain and document all payroll records

Perform all necessary steps regarding state and federal garnishments

File all required payroll tax reports and processing payments

Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns in a friendly and timely manner

Create and generate in-depth labor and time reports and/or other ad hoc payroll and labor-related analysis

Create and distribute monthly headcount report

Provide the information requested by internal and external customers

Provide/produce monthly recap reports

Perform other payroll-related projects/duties as assigned

SKILLS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

BS degree in Business related field or commensurate experience

Minimum 3-5 years experience in a business setting processing multi-state payroll

APA certification highly desired

Solid understanding of payroll best practices

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Applications

Proficient with ADP Workforce Now
