Franklin University has a full-time opening for a Payroll Analyst. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Payroll, this individual is responsible for processing semi-monthly, multi state payrolls.
This includes the import/balancing of all hours and pay files as well as miscellaneous entries. The Payroll Analyst also prepares payroll audits, sets up garnishments, and maintains a strong working relationship with our vendor, UltiPro, to resolve any processing issues. Other duties include responding via phone, email and/or chat to employee inquiries regarding self-service direct deposit and/or W-4 set up, and accrual balances. The Payroll Analyst also works closely with the Benefits team to ensure correct pay for our employees.
The position will require hours in excess of 40 per week at fiscal and calendar year ends.
We seek someone with a minimum of 3 years of prior experience processing payroll including reviewing/processing timesheets, time off requests, tax forms, and personnel changes. Prior experience with UltiPro and an appropriate college degree is preferred.
The selected individual must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and be able to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is expected.
