LGI Homes is seeking a Payroll Administrator at our Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Process new hires, terminations and job changes
  • Complete all written and verbal Verification of Employment requests
  • Respond to employees with HRIS questions
  • Process month-end closings and verify accuracy of closing disclosures as needed
  • Complete child-support and medical support orders
  • Assist with maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley compliance


Candidates must display the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Positive attitude with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Position Summary: The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and distribution of payroll via the payroll system. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and ability to manage payroll processing, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, preparing accounting transaction and updating procedures and special reports for management. This role is also responsible for reviewing the computation of pay and ensuring the company payroll policies are in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulations. Responsibilities: The Payroll Administrator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Support executive leadership with in-depth analysis and reporting on various projects related to data requests and financial reports in support of strategic initiatives * Process both Bi-Weekly and Semi-Monthly, multi-state payrolls for 4,000+ employees using Lawson version 9 and Kronos i-Series * Ensure all employees are paid accordingly and that inquires and payment issues are resolved in a timely manner * Enter and review all time card and time off correction requests * Ensure the accuracy and timely entry of federal and state withholding forms * Access employee data and interpret payroll results using Lawson and KRONOS system * Assist with the validation of employee payroll results in Lawson after the initial processing of each payroll run * Communicate effectively to managers and employees regarding questions related to employee pay * Assist managers with timecard edits and reports to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing * Verify that all payroll activities have the appropriate supporting documentation and approval for processing * Respond to inquiries via email or phone from employees, department managements, and external agencies * Perform complex tax and gross up calculations * Review and interpret garnishment and levy orders with reconciliation with vendor * Provide support to other team members within the department * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * 2+ years' experience in payroll administration with hands on experience processing payroll * Demonstrated experience managing and maintaining a full suite of HR systems such as Lawson, KRONOS, Workday, ADP, SAP and Ultimate Software * Exceptional customer service skills * High regard to confidentiality and ethics * Strong organizational and communication skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * High level of flexibility * Detailed oriented * Multi-state tax experience required Conn's is PROUD to be an equal opportunity employer.
