About This Role:

The Payroll Administrator assists in the preparation and disbursement of the company's bi-weekly payroll and provides support in all areas of payroll data management and account reconciliation. Maintains discretion and confidentiality of payroll information.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:

  • Assists in bi-weekly domestic payroll process for multiple entities, and monthly international payroll, including general administrative duties. Domestic processing includes transmitting post-payroll data of 401k and other deductions to outside service providers.

  • Initiates bi-weekly and monthly domestic journal entries and reconciliations of payroll data including reconciliation of payroll taxes processed by Payment Tax Services.

  • Ensures accuracy of payroll records by reviewing and updating employee status changes and tax withholding.

  • Coordinates with Human Resources for LOA adjustments and Final Check preparation.

  • Audits and processes bi-weekly electronic time sheets. Verifies accuracy with supervisors and makes any needed changes. Uploads time record data into payroll software system and prepares checks for distribution.

  • Processes court ordered child support, tax levies, and other garnishments as applicable.

  • Assists in the verification of compliance with state and federal government reporting requirements.

  • Assists in creating and producing ad-hoc reports and the distribution of other reports as requested by certain departments.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

  • Responds to inquiries from employees related to payroll matters and Verification of Employment Requests promptly.

  • Overtime may be required.

Education/Training Required and Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a combination of education and relevant working experience.

Experience Required and Preferred:

  • Minimum three years of experience in payroll or accounting.

  • Proficiency in a payroll processing software program is required; UKG Pro Workforce Management preferred.

  • Knowledge of International payroll processing is preferred.

  • Must have strong organizational skills to meet time schedules and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to use sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Must have strong computer skills, with experience in data management.

  • Must possess knowledge of current federal and multiple state payroll tax laws.

  • Ability to self-initiate activities and work within timelines.

  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing organizational needs.

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) communication skills preferred.

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $27.54 to $36.96

The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
