Respnsibilites:

  • Compiling payroll data, entering data or computing and posting wages, and reconciling errors in order to maintain accurate payroll records.

  • Collect data, such as hours worked, sales, taxes, insurance, and employee identification numbers, from time sheets and other records.

  • Preparing computer input forms and posting payroll information by entering data into computer files, or computing wages and deductions using a calculator and posting to payroll records.

  • Preparing and issuing paychecks as well as tax-withholding statements for employees' use in preparing income tax returns.

  • Administering benefits, new hire paperwork, drug tests, background checks, MVR checks, and corporate initiated programs or policies.

  • Maintaining files, records, and compiling statistical reports as needed

  • Other duties, as assigned.

Job/Education Requirements:

Dealership accounting experience REQUIRED

  • A minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience

  • Strong knowledge of math and accounting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft. Office applications necessary

  • ADP experience preferred

  • Organizational skills with a focus on detail orientation

  • Excellent communication skills

  • High school diploma; advanced education preferred.

Will identify and arrange suitable training solutions for associates, especially new hires and supporting multiple shifts. Training will focus on standard operating procedures. Essential Function Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Participate in analysis to determine training needs within the organization * Research, create and facilitate leadership development classes * Follow up on class participation and challenge assignments * Track class feedback for use in improving training * Research additional learning opportunities for the organization * Maintain training records * Assist operations with on-the-job training for warehouse and logistics positions * Confer with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring associates to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies * Determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, e-learning and workshops * Partner with quality engineers and operational leadership to assess, modify, and create work instructions and training material * Implement and develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference work * Oversee and facilitate evaluation procedures to be used at completion of training * Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as new associate orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software, proper techniques, health and safety practices, and refresher training * Evaluate trainees to measure effectiveness of training * Report on progress of associates under guidance during training periods * Revise and design training curriculum with methods to improvement effectiveness * Responsible for organizing and maintaining records, files, training documents, etc. * Regular and reliable attendance at work Competencies * Safety focus / awareness * Communication proficiency * Teamwork orientation * Work independently * Personal effectiveness/credibility * Collaboration skills * Thoroughness * Adaptability Work Environment Warehouse environment subject to seasonal temperatures and regular exposure to forklift traffic. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is occasionally required to sit or stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Full Time. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required. Travel Travel between locations may be required.
