A growing Minneapolis based client is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for process payroll for between 500-1,000 employees both hourly and salaried. Essential duties and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: ?Reviewing timecards for hourly employees to make sure there are no errors. ?Ensuring that all benefits and insurance premiums are deducted from paychecks. ?Tracking vacation and sick hours to ensure that they are accurately listed on paystubs. ?Making sure all payroll accounts are balanced. ?Entering employee?s personal information into payroll database. ?Preparing and submits payroll documents. ?Adhering to all state and federal regulations for payroll processing. ?Explaining benefits and payroll process to new employees. ?Responding to inquiries from employees about salaries and wages. ?Processing overtime payments. ?Resolving any discrepancies surrounding payroll issues. ?Processing W-4s for tax purposes. ?Distributing W-2s for tax purposes. ?Preparing year-end payroll reports. ?Keeping up to date on changes in company tax status. ?Reporting to finance manager or payroll supervisor with updates and problems. ?Setting up direct deposits. ?Preparing and distributing paper checks when necessary. ?Contacting banks and IRS in the event of any deposit, withdrawal, or tax questions and discrepancies. ?Assisting finance department in preparing for an audit. ?Keeping detailed and organized payroll records. ?Communicating regularly with benefits experts and finance managers to ensure that all employee records and accounts are in line.

?Associate?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting preferred.. ?2-3 years of work experience in the accounting field preferred. ?Demonstrates familiarity with basic word processing programs and spreadsheets. ?Exhibits understanding of company benefits such as 401(k)s, insurance, paid leave, and other voluntary deductions. ?Demonstrates strong organizational skills. ?Possesses knowledge of basic principles of accounting. ?Pays close attention to detail. ?Possesses basic math skills. ?Communicates information clearly and effectively. ?Possesses knowledge of financial software programs like Quicken. ?Demonstrates understanding of tax documents and preparation processes. ?Works well with a team to expedite audits and tax preparation. ?Is able to multitask efficiently.

Job Objective(s) This position is responsible for administering construction loans and minimizing lender risk by ensuring that loans comply with company policies and applicable regulatory guidelines. The Loan Administrator interfaces with borrowers, loan officers, accounting, title companies, and various third parties. Job Responsibilities and Duties Essential Job Functions Loan Processing * Order appraisals, title work, credit reports and other services as required. * Coordinate receipt and review of due diligence materials including sworn construction statements, contractor verifications, and references. * Enter data into loan accounting system and create loan and borrower files in accordance with company record management processes. * Preparation and review of loan documents to ensure that final documents conform to agreed terms and company policies. * Coordinate with title company and attend closings as required to ensure that executed loan documents are accurate and complete. Draws and Inspections * Schedule inspections. * Verify and coordinate funding of draw requests. * Monitor and maintain borrower files to ensure financial reporting, proof of insurance, and other due diligence materials are current. Other Administrative Duties * Prepare, review, and ensure delivery to borrowers of monthly statements. * Coordinate with accounting staff to facilitate cash management activities and reconciliation of accounting transactions. * Provide general administrative support to the team. Job Qualification Standards * High school diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor's degree preferred. * Minimum two years of related experience and/or training required.
