Our Corporate Segment is searching for a Hybrid IT Administrator in our Walnut Creek, CA office. Our Corporate Information Services Team is seeking a Cloud and IT Administrator to join the Information Technology staff based in Walnut Creek, CA. The purpose of this role is to gradually increase our Hybrid IT capabilities while optimizing our on-premise environment. This role will be responsible for recommending improvements to existing processes to make them "fit for cloud" when they are not performing operational duties. This position would be expected to be a virtual team member of any team that delivers services that leverage cloud technologies. Please see our website at www.central.com for additional information. MEASURES OF SUCCESS * Keep current with cloud technology trends and recommend appropriate solutions to deliver maximum business value * Monitor currently utilized cloud technologies and ensure allocated resources are being properly utilized and reduce/remove underutilized resources * Troubleshoot performance and other operational issues as they arise across cloud and on-premise technologies. * Properly protect data stored in a hybrid environment based on potential business impact * Create framework for and perform "fit for cloud" reviews of existing on-premise technologies * Be a "trusted partner" for Service Owners who leverage cloud technologies as part of their solutions' architecture. IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES * Five years' experience utilizing cloud technologies in a production environment * Subject matter expertise in Microsoft Azure Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service technologies and their relationships to Microsoft Office 365 * Strong understanding of Azure Active Directory and synchronization with on-premise directories * Exposure to Amazon Web Services, Google Compute Cloud and other cloud providers to judge pros and cons of leveraging them in addition to Azure * Experience with hybrid data protection technologies * Experience with on-premise virtual machine to cloud IaaS migrations * Experience with on-premise to cloud and cloud to cloud disaster recovery techniques * MCSA: Cloud Platform certification is a plus WORKING CONDITIONS * Normal duties will be performed in an office setting * Working remotely is possible with minimum of weekly onsite visits to Walnut Creek office * Able to respond after hours in the event of business-critical service failure * Operational duties will be split between traditional on-premise work and cloud We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law. #LI-CM1 Central Garden And Pet Walnut Creek CA
